Every Christmas for as long as I can remember, my dad would always tell us the "Pack on Santa's Back" flannel board story. I am 37 years old and he is still telling it every Christmas Eve to his grandkids. I recently was given a copy and I saw the authors for the first time, Avon and Tammy Jane Compton with Illustrations by Terry Ann Compton. Thank you so much for your contribution to our Christmas Eve traditions.
I know that life gets busy and you haven't posted anything in awhile....but I wanted you to know how much I love this story!! I use it in my classroom every year. My mother-in-law gave it to me to use in my very first classroom back in 1974. I am so glad to find a better copy of it. Mine is pretty wrinkled (and the copyright information was missing). I would love to blog about this story and make some turkey story pieces to go with this. Would that be okay?
